As soon as you get a new pair of high heels, you will automatically think of breaking them in. It’s the normal thing to do. However, have you ever thought of adding a little extra aftermarket add-ons? You might be surprised to know that a thin rubber sole could save you well over a couple hundred dollars. What I usually recommend is to have a thin rubber sole applied onto the existing one to create an extra layer of protection.
I also make sure that my shoes are stain and water resistant. They don’t come out of the box ready to repel dirt and water. A thin coating of liquid repellant should do the trick. However, this method is not suited for suede or leather. You can check out other methods of protecting your leather shoes from your cobbler.
