There are a lot of tricks that you can try to learn how to walk in high heels, but by far, the most effective way that I have ever come across with was to work incrementally. Working your way up is the best thing that you can do. It is going to be like on a suicide mission if you're planning on conquering stiletto heels even before learning to grasp the feel of low to mid heels.
Always start off with kitten heels. For those who don’t know, kitten heels are not high heels but the lowest kind that you will find. They have an average of 1-inch heel height that makes them pretty suitable as a pair of trainer heels. Kitten heels are also great for use at work or when you're going out with your friends.
After you’ve earned some knowledge and the hang of wearing kitten heels, it’s time to move up to another level which is basically just adding another inch to the heel. 2-inch heels are in the middle of low and high heels. However, don’t start out with something that has bare heels on them. It’s better to wear wedges instead or a pair of heels that have chunky heels. The more substance you have on the heels, the better it is to find your balance.
Now let’s move over to the transition between mid-heels and stiletto heels. If you skimped the previous tips, better read and follow them first before going to this step. Moving forward, assuming that you have already gotten the hang of low and mid heels, you should be able to easily grasp stiletto heels in the first few hours of wearing them. Just take your time because at the end of the day, what really matters most if the amount of practice that you put into it and the progress you obtain by doing so.
